Our Handcrafting Process

 Our glass figurines are handcrafted by master artisans. Working with glass rods and flame, glassblowers must first transform molten liquid into their graceful forms.  Each piece we carry is handcrafted with its own intricate design and detailing. Using decorative elements and special processes, our glass sculptures come to life.

Imagination springs to life in three dimensions as our designer's ideas are shaped into prototypes. Then through creative collaboration with other designers and artisans, refinements are perfected and the design specifications are set in place. Each piece takes on a life of its own, beginning with the prototype being passed along to our master glassblowers.

Vigilant inspections are performed at every step of the production process as the quality control team checks for hairline cracks, poor shaping, or imperfections in the glass. Every piece must be consistent with the color and intricate detailing of the original prototype.

Sandblasting gives some of our pieces that beautiful frosted look. This delicate process removes thousands of microscopic chips from the surface, leaving a shimmering texture which seems to glow in the light. The result is simply elegant.

The gilding process is uniquely distinct and adds the rich golden details that enhances the beauty of each piece. Gilding is done entirely by hand and requires great patience, swiftness, and skill. Using 22kt gold brushed on by hand, the piece is then fired at 1,050 degrees for a gleaming and sparkling golden luster.

All the tints and shades of nature are found in our artist's palette transforming clear glass into spectacular works of art. There is a brilliance of color in airbrushing that is often lost in conventional painting. With airbrushing, paint molecules remain round, creating a soft, blended look. The combination of glass and airbrush creates beautiful crystalline works of art.

Many designs are mounted on mirror bases and makes the perfect setting for many of our figurines.
